Terra Nova Robotics Rapid Prototype Part
KPMI® has offered its services to the Terra Nova High School Robotics Team as part of an educational sponsorship program. The team’s latest challenge involved launching a Wiffle ball up a 3 foot tube. Their solution required the use of a complex geometry, curved ramp. In order to efficiently and accurately produce a lightweight yet strong part, KPMI® chose to make use of their 3D printer. Once the CAD file was received by KPMI®, their team of engineers uploaded the design to the 3D printer for manufacture. This is another example of how KPMI’s engineering expertise can provide a solution to a wide variety of projects.
